Last week was a week of good news, beginning with me getting two free tickets to The Sound of Music performance at Istana Budaya. my boss probably realised i deserve some kind of recognition for my hard work the week earlier! i brought my sister and both of us enjoyed the 3-hour show immensely. it was my favourite musical of all time. the songs brought back many fond memories of my childhood.
Next, i received my confirmation letter on Tuesday. Yes, i'm officially a journalist at The Star :) no longer on probation; i'm free now to have my own business cards as well as entitled to book allowances! yahoo!!
My editor gave the third good news when she told me that i'll be going to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam this month for a glove plant visit. I was thrilled. It would be a rush trip, like the previous trip down south but heck, any outstation trip is cool by me :) the best part was a good friend who happens to be working in the PR agency that is organising this is also going. so now, i don't even have to worry about being bored without good company :)
Fourthly, my nephew has started walking. barely one year old, the little kid has started to use his leg muscles. i'm so proud of him!
Last but not least, the week ended with a long-postponed trip to Ipoh with my colleagues. it was a fun weekend with much food involved, as well as much laughter exchanged.
