The Indonesia-Malaysia dance spat, which has spiralled into 'sweeps of Malaysians in Jakarta, is again an evidence that the world sees us as Malaysians, regardless of our ethnic groups.
My colleague rightly pointed out that the 'sweepers' were not going to differentiate if the Malaysian was of different descent. To the outsiders, we're simply Malaysians. So why do we, the Malaysians, have such confusion about our own identity when the foreigners don't have problems identifying us. Do we really need a campaign to convince us that we're all one in Malaysia?
