The weekend that passed was a sheer whirl of events. there was the church carnival, which i helped out for the Sat session. Then there was the poetry performance by Francesca Beard entitled "Chinese Whispers" on Sat evening. it was my first time watching such a presentation and it left me with many impressions. i have to confess though that i was lost several times during the hour-long performance because she was too quick in her thoughts. before i could fully comprehend, she had already jumped into the next subject. aside from this, it was rather entertaining. i wouldn't mind going for similar stuff in the future, just to immense myself in culture.
Sunday was lighter, as i went to watch the documentary done by a colleague of mine on the police force. the half-hour show was thought provoking, with a good amount of humour. i only wished the subject matter had been given a place to voice its side of the story so that the audience could decide his/her own stand.
The evening ended with a trip to the cinema with mom to watch Rob-b-hood featuring Jackie Chan. it was fun as the baby was so cute and he simply stole the show with his innocent expressions!
