New Year 2007 was welcomed at Cameron Highlands this year. it was a gathering of old friends, people that i have not hanged out with for some time but proven that the distance did not change the friendship. i had fun amidst the many bugs that stayed with us last night ;)
I've decided that i will not make many resolutions for 2007 because i did not achieve any of the resolutions that i made for 2006. what's the point of making a list when i ended up breaking them in the first place?
I came back to the city today with some mixed emotions. i'll be turning 29 in seven months. i asked myself what significance i've made so far in almost the first quarter of my life ... I know life can be so much more than this yet somehow the pieces have not come into place as how i would envision it. what can i do to make them fall into place? i wonder ...
Perhaps the initial setback which i did not fully anticipate had resulted in me feeling a bit uninspired for the new year. maybe when i start counting my blessings in 2006, i would feel better. i haven't done it because i was procrastinating but i should.
Anyway, it's 365 days of more discovery -- the welcome message on my mobile has always been "dream, explore, discover.." and it is always a reminder of how i want to lead my life. it has never failed me before and it shouldn't fail me now.
A fren sent me a sms telling me that while we Malaysians were counting down to the new year, he had already seen the first 30 mins of 2007 and it looked pretty good :o) the beauty of time zones - it's another reminder that the world is not still while we wallow in self pity so instead of doing so, might as well choose to be optimistic ;o)
Happy New Year 2007; may it be filled with much joy, new dreams and hopes, good companionships and achievements that i can be proud to look back on ;-)
