Wedding & housewarming

The weekend that passed was a busy one. I had a facilitation training on Bible-related games on Saturday morning. That was an interesting session as my mind was boggled once again at how life's lessons could be caught in simple activities like having a swing on trees or passing on things .. and nothing beats learning from others, observing how another person is behaving or listening to thoughts of others.

Shortly after the training, i had to attend two good friends' wedding at Ciao! at Jalan Tun Razak. Those of you who do not know Ciao!, it is an Italian restaurant in the form of a bungalow and surrounded by luscious green. the garden wedding was very pretty and cosy. there was none of the karaoke session, or loud music, or loud clanging of dishes, or too much food to consume.

It was buffet style, so basically everyone gets their food whenever they wanted to, wine was served continuous, people could move about and catch up with ol' friends and guests had lots of opportunities to converse with the couple ;o) the best thing was, dinner finished at 9.30pm! that's less than two hours; compared to the usual Chinese dinners of at least 3 hours, this was record-breaking!!

Sunday was KF & SF's housewarming session and it was a nice gathering of friends. it always warms my heart to know that i have this bunch of friends around because it is always a time of intellectual-stretching, self examination and simply to laugh silly ... There are not many people whose company i enjoy as much as this group :o)

The host did a great job with their first home. i thought it felt really homey and cosy. it was not extravaganza or a show ... it was basically a home and one i could imagine going back to everyday and have a good rest. i'm always amazed at how my friends could come up with such great skill when it comes to creating a home ...
