Thanks to the effort of friends, i am able to share this pix. This was taken in 1993, when i was in Form 3 at SM Convent Bukit Nanas. Think it was one of the school's many events and we were having a party so everyone was in a jovial mood. Look how young we were!!Those were good days as we did a number of crazy things such as raising funds for the school all by ourselves. i think my classmates and i baked close to 30 chocolate cakes to sell and raise funds. we didn't do too bad cos' after deducting all the cost, we managed to raise close to RM300. not bad for 15-year olds :P
I remembered that our world only revolved around schoolwork, teachers and who was fighting with who, and of course, the latest crush ;) nothing more earth shattering. life was simple. and we had many hopes and dreams for our future. this classmate of mine was already planning her diplomatic career path. she plans to get her language degree and following after, join the Foreign Ministry and work her way up to become a foreign diplomat and form relations with other nations and promote Malaysia. another friend wanted to become a doctor and set her eyes on getting good grades in her science subjects.
The diplomat wannabe ended up as a fulltime wife and mother while the doctor to-be is now practising at a local hospital while pursuing her Masters on a part-time basis. the journey along the way got stumbled or re-directed hence where we are now. some of us are where we always wanted to be, some compromised and took an easier route while some decided to take the plunge and take on greater challenges. all a matter of choices we made in our respective milestones. Still it brings me great joy to look at the pix again and to remember the good ol' days when we were still young and eager to embrace life. when nothing is impossible and every experience is an adventure :)
