This Saturday marks one month of being single and available again. Come to think of it, it's been 26 days of singlehood and well it has its ups and downs. On some days it's easier, on some days it's not. I guess i have not learned to befriend loneliness well despite having two heart-wrenching experiences in less than a year. it's ironic that it's more difficult to adapt to being single again than being in a relationship when for most part of my life, i have been single.
Andrew Matthews says when life hits you with the same lessons over and over again, it's telling ya that you have not learned your lesson well enough. perhaps in my case, this is true.
Not that i'm really complaining about being single again cos it does have its privilleges. for instance, time is my own and i do what i like with it; be it squash, bukit gasing, movies, dinners, roadtrips, etc ... mom wasn't pleased when she found out that the relationship failed to move on. not sure how to convince her that the decision was for the best of both persons. he and i are happier nowadays; doing our own respective things and moving on. we're still friends; i've no hard feelings against him and hopefully he has none towards me. at least i've gained the ability to maintain the friendship unlike my past experiences.
